Fool MSNBC Twice, Shame on You

Funny stuff. Josh Marshall from Talking Points Memo roasts MSNBC for mistaking a parody White House site for the real thing in their Falwell coverage. The second time around, the anchorpersonage has a wee bit of trouble understanding the nature of her earlier mistake.

MSNBC needs to hire some kids to explain the Web to them.

It was probably the shock of it all. It would’ve absolutely KILLED them to have to report that news don’t you think? Just imagine…the head spore of the whole fungus, heading off to the big mushroom patch in the sky!

Perhaps I’m evil, but I think I’ll leave my mourning in mothballs for now…

I miss when the news was in black and white, and anchors smoked on the air, and it was all about TRUTH, DAMNIT!

(I may as well include that I miss when news anchors would sign off by riding a triceratops off camera)

These days the triceratops would just get reported as a stegosaurus anyway. And nobody would correct the mistake on the air!

Or perhaps “godtestingourfaithasaurus”. On Fox, anyway.

… which of course makes me think of this totally awesome picture.
